Although labeled as a “side story,” this version not only fills in narrative gaps left by the original game but also represents the ultimate 3D Castlevania experience on the N64. Cornell’s standard attack is a sweeping “vacuum blade” with extended reach, while his werewolf transformation dramatically boosts speed and power at the cost of consuming hearts, adding tactical depth to boss encounters. Henry introduces long-range combat using a shotgun with a lock-on mechanic, refreshing the traditional Castlevania formula.
