在劇情推進上，採用高度分歧的敘事設計。整個單人戰役橫跨三大篇章，包含超過兩百多個任務與事件，玩家的每一個選擇都會對世界產生實質影響。在對話中展現的態度、對某個派系的偏袒、是否使用禁忌的力量，甚至是在任務中採取的行動順序，都可能改變勢力關係、角色生死與最終結局的走向。遊戲並不提供「正確答案」，而是持續拷問玩家：在這個早已腐敗的世界中，所謂的正義是否真的存在？你的信念，究竟是光明，還是另一種形式的黑暗？

操作與玩法層面上，融合大地圖探索與戰術戰鬥。將在廣闊的外部世界中移動，探索被戰火摧毀的城鎮、荒野與古老遺跡，接取任務、發掘隱藏寶藏，同時逐步揭開內凡達爾過去的血腥歷史。在旅途中，可以招募來自不同派系的角色組成隊伍，每名角色都有明確定位與技能特色，包含攻擊、防禦、支援與詛咒等多種戰術方向，讓隊伍組合擁有高度自由度。

戰鬥部分採用回合制戰略系統，重視站位、技能施放時機與敵我屬性的相剋關係。面對普通敵人時，錯誤的行動順序就可能導致全隊潰敗；而在對抗頭目級怪物時，更需要針對其獨特機制制定專屬戰術。這些頭目往往象徵世界的扭曲與詛咒，不僅數值強大，也在敘事上承載關鍵意義，戰勝它們的過程同時也是對玩家策略與耐心的考驗。

豪華版內容則在原本厚實的遊戲體驗上進一步擴充，除了完整遊戲本篇外，還包含主角專屬武器與服裝造型、夥伴角色的外觀變化、實用的遊戲內資源包，以及原聲音樂與設定資料集，讓玩家能更深入理解世界觀與美術設計，並在視覺與氛圍上獲得更完整的沉浸感。

Homicipher (also known as Moji Bake / モジバケ) is a female-oriented language-deciphering and exploration adventure game themed around “romance with horror men.” The story follows a protagonist who awakens to find herself lost in a strange, otherworldly realm. In this unfamiliar world, she encounters non-human beings who speak a mysterious language, and by gradually learning their words, she begins searching for a way to escape.

As the protagonist deciphers the meanings behind the monsters’ speech, she may also develop romantic relationships with the male monsters who offer her help along the way—though whether these bonds are genuine or something more unsettling remains uncertain.

The other world operates with a language entirely different from human speech. Players must infer and interpret meanings through the monsters’ facial expressions, gestures, and the objects they point to. This language is not refined like human language; each word tends to carry a concentrated meaning, with almost no particles, and strings of words only convey a rough idea rather than precise sentences.

Homicipher is a point-and-click adventure game. Players can investigate objects to learn new words or advance the story through dialogue. Throughout the game, players are frequently presented with choices, which can lead to subtle story variations, branching routes, or even sudden death.

Even if the game ends, players can immediately restart from the previous moment without any penalties. There is no traditional affection-level management system; instead, unlocking certain flags grants access to additional choices. Players are also free to jump between previously encountered scenes within each chapter to retry different approaches, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable gameplay experience.

The game was developed by Yatsunagi Games. The Steam demo version was released on June 1, 2023, and the full version later launched on Steam on November 1, 2024. A physical edition for the Nintendo Switch, published by Dramatic Create, is scheduled for release on March 26, 2026.
