金星戰記
1989 年於紅白機(FC)推出的《金星戰記》(Venus Senki),是由 NCS 開發的動畫改編作品,改編自同名漫畫與劇場版動畫,原作者為 安彥良和。在當時眾多授權遊戲中,以相對嚴謹的系統設計與獨特的玩法結構而顯得格外突出。

The game is based on the manga and animated film created by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, bringing his vision of futuristic warfare on Venus into an interactive format. At a time when many licensed games were rushed or simplistic, this title stood out for its ambition and hybrid design.
The story is set in the mid-21st century, when humanity has successfully terraformed Venus and established colonies. However, the planet becomes divided between two rival factions, Ishtar and Aphrodite, leading to an all-out war. Players take on the role of Hiro, a young soldier who rides a high-performance mono-wheel combat bike known as the Hound. As part of a resistance force, Hiro must fight against invading powers and navigate the escalating conflict across the harsh Venusian landscape. The narrative captures the tone of the original work, blending personal struggle with large-scale warfare.
What makes Venus Senki particularly unique is its dual-layer gameplay structure. On one level, the game functions as a strategy simulation, where players move units across a grid-based map, engage enemy forces, capture key positions, and manage resources such as fuel and repairs. Tactical decisions made here directly influence the difficulty and flow of the next phase.
When opposing forces collide, the game shifts into a side-scrolling action sequence. In these segments, players directly control Hiro on his combat bike, maneuvering through enemy fire, jumping over obstacles, and attacking targets in real time. This transition between strategic planning and reflex-based action was quite innovative for its time, and the action segments were noted for their relatively smooth performance on the hardware.
Visually, the game impressed players with detailed pixel art that reflected Yoshikazu Yasuhiko’s original mechanical designs, particularly the distinctive look of the Hound.
