《伊蘇 I：失落的伊蘇古國》的 Famicom（FC/NES）版本於 1988 年由 Victor Musical Industries 發行，這也是本系列首次從電腦平台移植到家用主機的作品。雖然受限於 8 位元硬體，畫面與細節有所簡化，但最核心的「衝撞式戰鬥（Bump System）」依然被完整保留下來，成為整個系列的標誌性玩法。

故事發生在被風暴之牆包圍的艾斯塔里亞。年輕的紅髮冒險家亞特魯·克里斯汀 因海難漂流至此，被占卜師莎拉委託，踏上尋找散落於島上的六本「伊蘇之書」的旅程。在冒險途中，他救出神秘少女菲娜，並逐步揭開古代文明「伊蘇」消失背後的真相。隨著劇情推進，亞特魯最終會抵達巨大的達姆之塔，並在塔頂與黑暗神官 Dark Fact 展開決戰，為整個冒險畫下句點。

在 FC 版本中，戰鬥系統採用完全沒有攻擊鍵的設計，透過移動與敵人產生「錯位碰撞」來造成傷害。如果正面撞上敵人則會受傷，因此走位與角度控制變得極為重要。由於等級上限僅有 10 級，角色很快就能達到滿等狀態，後期強度主要取決於裝備與玩家操作技巧，而非長時間練功。

相較於電腦版本，在視覺表現上使用更鮮豔的配色，人物比例也為適應電視畫面進行調整，並加入較簡化的過場畫面，讓整體節奏更適合家用主機玩家。

音樂部分則由 Falcom 原作旋律改編而來，在 FC 音源晶片的呈現下展現出不同風格的電子感。尤其是開場曲與達姆之塔的背景音樂，即使在今天仍被許多老玩家視為經典。

至於難度方面，最具代表性的挑戰就是最終戰 Dark Fact。該戰鬥場地會隨時間逐步崩塌，大幅壓縮玩家的活動空間，再加上高傷害的攻擊模式，使其成為許多 NES 玩家印象最深刻、同時也是最具挫折感的關卡之一。

在攻略上，由於本作防禦力的重要性遠高於攻擊力，前期通常會建議優先購買高等防具，以確保生存能力。同時因為等級上限很低，玩家通常會在進入達姆之塔前就將等級練滿，否則在塔內將會面臨極高的生存壓力。塔內也藏有如銀盾與藍寶石戒指等關鍵道具，如果錯過，將會大幅增加挑戰最終魔王的難度。

The Famicom (FC/NES) version of Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished was released in 1988 by Victor Musical Industries. It marked the first time the series was ported from computer platforms to a home console. Despite the limitations of 8-bit hardware, the game preserved its core “bump combat system,” which became one of the defining mechanics of the franchise.

The story takes place in the land of Esteria, which is surrounded by a mysterious storm wall. A young red-haired adventurer, Adol Christin, washes ashore after a shipwreck and is asked by the fortune teller Sara to search for the six Books of Ys scattered across the island. During his journey, he rescues the mysterious girl Feena and gradually uncovers the truth behind the disappearance of the ancient civilization of Ys. The adventure ultimately leads him to the towering Darm Tower, where he confronts the dark priest Dark Fact in the final battle, bringing the story to its climax.

The FC version’s combat system does not use an attack button. Instead, players must defeat enemies by colliding with them at specific angles, known as “off-center bumping.” Direct frontal collisions will result in damage, making positioning and movement precision essential throughout the game. With a low level cap of only 10, characters reach maximum level relatively quickly, meaning progression is largely determined by equipment and player skill rather than grinding.

Compared to the original computer version, the Famicom release features brighter, more saturated visuals and slightly adjusted character proportions to better suit television displays. It also includes simplified cutscene presentations to maintain a smoother gameplay flow.

The music, originally composed by Falcom, is adapted to the FC sound chip, giving it a distinct electronic tone compared to the PC versions. Despite the hardware limitations, tracks such as the opening theme and Darm Tower background music remain highly memorable and are still considered classics by retro gaming fans.

In terms of difficulty, the final boss Dark Fact is especially notorious. The battle arena gradually collapses during the fight, severely limiting the player’s movement space. Combined with high-damage attacks, this makes it one of the most challenging and memorable final encounters in early console RPG history.

For gameplay strategy, defense is significantly more important than offense in this version. Players are generally advised to prioritize purchasing the best available armor early on to improve survivability. Since the level cap is so low, most players will reach maximum level before entering Darm Tower. Key items such as the Silver Shield and Sapphire Ring are also essential; missing them can make the final battle significantly more difficult.
